Donna B. Wilson, APRN, FNP-C has dedicated her career to helping people feel their best and achieve lasting wellness. Her journey in healthcare began as a licensed massage therapist, where she spent many years serving clients throughout the Bayou parishes. This hands-on experience sparked a deeper passion for healing and inspired her to pursue a career in nursing.
Donna earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nicholls State University and began her nursing career at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, where she gained valuable experience in intensive care, step-down care, and cardiac rehabilitation. After several years of bedside nursing, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University where then she became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Today, Donna brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and holistic care to her patients through her work in occupational medicine, integrative medicine, urgent care, primary care, hospital-based care, and wellness services. Her diverse background allows her to see the whole person not just a diagnosis, and she is committed to partnering with patients to help them live healthier fuller lives.
Throughout her career, Donna has had the privilege of caring for patients across Louisiana while also serving as a leader and advocate for the nursing profession. She has held multiple leadership positions with the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, including Treasurer and Regional Representative for the Houma Region, served on the Louisiana Nursing Workforce Entry Synergy Summit committee, and coordinated fundraising efforts for the Louisiana Nurse Practitioner Foundation.
Donna believes that the best healthcare starts with listening, educating, and empowering patients to take an active role in their well-being. Whether she is helping workers stay healthy, guiding patients through wellness journeys, or promoting preventive care, her mission remains the same: combining evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, whole-person approach to help individuals and communities thrive.
She is excited to continue serving the Lafayette community and surrounding areas, promoting health, wellness, and quality care for patients of all ages.
